Display shows EC or ECON; spa heats only during filtration cycles and may not reach set temperature quickly

Safety: No internal service is required.

• Check heating mode: On the topside control, navigate to the settings or mode menu. Confirm whether the spa is set to Standard, Economy, or Sleep mode.
• Change to Standard mode: If you want continuous heating, select Standard (ST) mode so the heater can operate as needed to maintain set temperature.
• Allow time to heat: After changing modes, allow several hours for the spa to reach the new set temperature.

If EC appears but the spa is actually in Standard mode, the control panel or board may be misreporting the mode; consult a Bullfrog dealer.
