Ozone System Failure
Ozone generator is not operating; no ozone bubbles visible at ozone injector
Advertisements
Possible Causes
Failed ozone generator module, Clogged ozone injector or check valve, Disconnected ozone tubing, Ozone output disabled in control settings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power at the GFCI breaker before servicing the ozone system.
- Check settings: Some Bullfrog systems allow ozone to be enabled/disabled in the control menu. Ensure ozone is enabled.
- Inspect tubing: Locate the ozone generator and follow the silicone tubing to the injector. Ensure tubing is connected at both ends and not kinked.
- Check check valve: Inspect the ozone check valve for blockage or failure. Replace if it allows water to backflow into the ozone generator.
- Observe operation: During a filtration cycle, look for fine bubbles at the ozone injection point. If none are present and tubing is intact, the ozone generator may have failed and should be replaced with a Bullfrog-compatible unit.
