Possible Causes
Moisture intrusion under keypad overlay, Cracked topside panel, Corroded ribbon cable connector at control pack, Physical wear of button contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power at the GFCI breaker before disconnecting the topside panel.
- Inspect panel surface: Look for cracks, lifted edges, or water trapped under the overlay. Dry the surface thoroughly.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Open the control pack and locate the topside panel connector. Unplug the ribbon cable, inspect for corrosion, and reconnect firmly.
- Test operation: Restore power and test all buttons. If some remain unresponsive, the panel is likely failing.
- Replace topside panel: Order a Bullfrog-compatible topside control, remove the old panel from the spa shell, route the new cable to the control pack, and connect it. Seal the panel perimeter as recommended to prevent water intrusion.
