Safety: Follow chemical handling precautions when balancing water.
- Test and balance water: Use test strips or a test kit to check pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels. Adjust as needed.
- Drain and refill if due: If water is older than recommended (typically 3–4 months), drain the spa, clean the shell, and refill with fresh water.
- Inspect salt system (if equipped): For Caldera FreshWater salt systems, inspect and clean the salt cell cartridge according to the manual.
- Reset reminder: Use the topside control to clear the cleaning reminder after maintenance is complete.
