Possible Causes
Spa lock feature enabled via topside control, Partial keypad failure, Stuck button on control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal electrical work is required for this procedure.
- Unlock via keypad: On most Caldera topside panels, press and hold the designated lock/unlock button combination (often Temperature Up + Temperature Down or a dedicated lock key) for 3–5 seconds until the lock icon disappears. Refer to your specific model’s user guide.
- Power cycle: If the panel does not respond, turn off the GFCI breaker for 30 seconds and turn it back on, then try the unlock sequence again.
- Check for stuck buttons: Press each button individually to ensure none are physically stuck. Wipe the panel surface clean and dry.
If the panel remains locked or unresponsive after these steps, the topside control panel may be failing and require replacement.
