Possible Causes
Failed jet pump motor, Tripped pump thermal overload, Defective pump relay on control board, Loose pump wiring connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before touching the pump or wiring.
- Listen for relay click: Restore power and press the jet button. If you hear a click but the pump does not start, the pump motor or capacitor may be faulty.
- Check wiring: With power off, verify that the pump’s power leads are securely connected at the control board and motor junction box.
- Thermal overload: Allow the pump to cool for 30–60 minutes and try again. Overheating can trip the internal overload.
- Replace pump: If the motor is seized, noisy, or fails to start with proper voltage, replace the jet pump assembly with a Caldera-compatible unit.
