How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Use gloves and eye protection when handling spa chemicals.

  • Test water: Use test strips or a liquid kit to check pH, alkalinity, and sanitizer levels. Adjust to Caldera’s recommended ranges.
  • Shock treatment: Add a non-chlorine shock or chlorine shock per label directions to oxidize contaminants.
  • Clean filter: Rinse or deep-clean the filter cartridge to improve filtration.
  • Drain and refill: If water is older than 3–4 months or TDS is high, drain the spa completely, clean the shell, and refill with fresh water.
