Possible Causes
Loose pump union, Cracked heater manifold, Split PVC plumbing, Leaking jet body or gasket, Leaking drain valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the GFCI and avoid standing water around electrical components.
- Locate leak source: Remove cabinet panels and inspect while the spa is filled. Use a flashlight to trace drips back to their highest point.
- Check unions: Tighten pump and heater unions by hand, then slightly with a wrench if needed. Do not overtighten plastic unions.
- Inspect drain valve: Ensure the Canadian Spa Company drain valve is fully closed and its cap is tight.
- Repair plumbing: For small PVC cracks, drain below the leak and repair with new fittings and PVC cement. For leaking jets, replace the jet body gasket or the entire jet body.
Large or hidden leaks in foam-insulated areas may require professional leak detection and foam excavation.
