Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Electrical troubleshooting should be done with extreme caution. Turn off power at the main panel before opening any covers.
- Check GFCI: Locate the Canadian Spa Company GFCI plug or breaker. Press RESET. If it trips immediately, there may be a short in the spa.
- Verify outlet or circuit: Plug another device into the same outlet (for plug-and-play models) or have an electrician test the dedicated circuit for correct voltage.
- Inspect spa pack fuses: With power OFF, open the control pack and check for blown fuses (glass or blade type). Replace only with identical rating.
- Check wiring connections: Ensure line and neutral wires are tight at the spa pack terminals and that there are no signs of burning.
If fuses blow repeatedly or the GFCI will not reset, a component (pump, heater, ozonator) may be shorted and should be isolated and tested by a technician.
