How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before inspecting Pump 3 wiring.
- Step 1 – Confirm feature: Ensure your Catalina spa model is equipped with a third pump; some panels show P3 even if not used.
- Step 2 – Check harness: Locate the Pump 3 connector on the control pack and verify it is correctly wired to the auxiliary pump.
- Step 3 – Inspect motor: Check Pump 3 for leaks, corrosion, or seized shaft. If the motor is locked or overheated, replace the pump assembly.
- Step 4 – Board output: If the pump tests good but never receives power, the Pump 3 relay on the board may be faulty and require spa pack replacement.
