Display shows EC or ECON, spa heats slowly and may not maintain high temperatures during heavy use.

Safety first: No electrical work is required for this adjustment.

• Check mode setting: Use the topside control panel to cycle through modes (Standard, Economy, Sleep). Refer to your Clearwater Spas user manual to set the spa to Standard mode if you want continuous temperature maintenance.
• Adjust filter cycles: Increase filter cycle duration so the heater has more run time.
• Use cover properly: Keep the insulated cover on and latched when not in use to reduce heat loss.

If EC appears but you cannot change modes, the topside control or control board may have a programming issue.
