Possible Causes
Faulty pressure switch, Inadequate water flow through heater, Misadjusted pressure switch, Control board sensing error
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing the pressure switch or control pack.
- Locate pressure switch: On many Clearwater Spas systems, a pressure switch is threaded into the heater manifold with two wires attached.
- Check wiring: Ensure the spade connectors are tight and free of corrosion.
- Verify flow: Clean filters and confirm strong circulation. Low flow can cause false pressure faults.
- Adjustment (if adjustable type): Some pressure switches have an adjustment screw. Only adjust slightly and only if you understand the manufacturer’s specifications; incorrect adjustment can defeat safety features.
If PRR persists with good flow, the pressure switch or control board may need replacement by a professional.
