Possible Causes
Shorted Pump 2 motor, Debris jammed in Pump 2 impeller, Incorrect wiring of Pump 2 to Coast Spas control pack, Failed Pump 2 relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Shut off power at the breaker and verify zero voltage before working on the pump.
- Inspect wiring: Confirm Pump 2 is wired to the correct terminals and that no wires are loose or touching the cabinet.
- Check for obstructions: Remove the wet end cover and inspect the impeller for stones, plastic, or other debris.
- Spin test: Rotate the motor shaft by hand. If stiff or locked, replace the pump.
- Board diagnosis: If a known-good pump still triggers P2, the control board relay may be damaged and require replacement.
