Possible Causes
Recent power outage or brownout, Loose neutral or ground connection, Undersized supply wiring to Coast Spas control pack, Faulty GFCI breaker
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the main panel before tightening any electrical connections. If you are not qualified, contact an electrician.
- Reset spa: Turn the spa breaker off for 1 minute, then back on. Many PF codes clear after a clean restart.
- Inspect wiring: Check that all lugs at the spa control pack and breaker are tight and free of corrosion.
- Verify voltage: Using a multimeter, confirm correct line voltage at the spa (typically 240V for most Coast Spas models). Low voltage can trigger PF errors.
- Monitor for recurrence: If PF returns frequently, have an electrician evaluate the circuit and GFCI breaker.
