Closed slice valves on pump suction or discharge, Air lock in pump wet end, Broken pump impeller on Coast Spas jet pump, Suction blockage at skimmer or intake fitting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before working on plumbing.
- Verify valves: Ensure all slice valves around the pump are fully open.
- Check for suction: With power on briefly, feel for suction at the skimmer. If none, shut off power and inspect for obstructions.
- Bleed air: Loosen pump unions to release trapped air until water flows, then retighten.
- Inspect impeller: Remove the wet end cover and check if the impeller is broken or detached from the shaft. Replace the impeller or pump as needed.
