Possible Causes
High levels of body oils and detergents, Low calcium hardness in Coast Spas water, High total dissolved solids (TDS), Inadequate sanitizer levels
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Handle all spa chemicals with gloves and eye protection. Never mix chemicals directly.
- Test water: Use a test strip or kit to check sanitizer, pH, alkalinity, and hardness.
- Shock spa: Add a non-chlorine or chlorine shock according to Coast Spas water care guidelines.
- Use foam reducer: Apply a spa-approved defoamer as a temporary measure.
- Drain and refill: If foaming persists and water is old, drain the spa, clean the shell and filter, and refill with fresh water.
- Rinse swimsuits: Rinse bathing suits in clean water only (no detergent) before use.
