How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid prolonged inhalation of strong chemical fumes. Ventilate the area if the spa is indoors.
- Test water: Check free and total chlorine or bromine levels and pH.
- Shock treatment: Perform a shock treatment to break down chloramines, following label directions.
- Adjust pH: Bring pH into the 7.2–7.8 range using pH increaser or decreaser.
- Vent cover: After shocking, leave the cover partially open for 20–30 minutes to allow gases to escape.
