Display shows ICE or IC and pumps run periodically even when spa is not in use

Safety first: Do not shut off power to the spa in freezing conditions unless it has been properly winterized and drained.

What to do:

• Verify water level: Ensure the spa is full so that freeze protection can circulate water through all plumbing.
• Check cover and insulation: Make sure the spa cover is in good condition and sealed to retain heat.
• Confirm set temperature: Set the spa to a normal soaking temperature (e.g., 100–104°F) so the heater will maintain warmth and reduce ICE events.
• Sensor check: If ICE displays in warm weather, the temperature or ambient sensor may be faulty and should be tested and replaced.
