Spa water is cloudy or milky and does not clear with filtration

Safety first: Avoid using the spa until water clarity and sanitizer levels are restored.

Clear the water:

• Test and balance: Adjust pH and alkalinity to recommended ranges for Dream Maker Spas.
• Shock treatment: Add a spa shock product to oxidize contaminants.
• Run filtration: Run the pump and filtration cycle continuously for 24 hours if possible.
• Clean or replace filter: Rinse the filter thoroughly or replace if old. Consider upgrading to a higher-quality Dream Maker-compatible filter cartridge.
• Use clarifier: Add a spa clarifier to help small particles clump together for easier filtration.
• Drain and refill: If clarity does not improve, drain and refill the spa and start with fresh, balanced water.
