Possible Causes

Loose pump or heater unions, Cracked PVC fittings or manifolds, Leaking jet body or gasket, Failed slice valve seals

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before working around wet equipment. Avoid standing in water while working on electrical components.

Locate the leak:

  • Inspect equipment bay: Remove the access panel and look for drips around the pump unions, heater unions, and slice valves. Tighten unions hand-tight plus a small additional turn; do not overtighten.
  • Check jets and fittings: From inside the spa, look around jets and suction fittings for water seepage. Leaks here often show as damp foam behind the shell.
  • Dry and test: Dry suspected areas and run the spa briefly to see where fresh water appears.
  • Replace o-rings and gaskets: For leaking unions or jets, replace o-rings or gaskets with Dream Maker-compatible parts and reassemble.
  • Repair plumbing: For cracked PVC fittings or manifolds, drain the spa below the leak, cut out the damaged section, and glue in new PVC parts using spa-rated PVC cement.
