Possible Causes

Defective flow switch stuck in closed position, Shorted flow switch wiring harness, Control board input fault for flow circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Shut off power at the GFCI breaker before working inside the equipment bay.

  • Visual inspection: Open the Dynasty Spas equipment compartment. Locate the flow switch in the plumbing near the heater tube. Inspect for cracked housing, corrosion, or damaged wires.
  • Check wiring: Ensure the two-conductor cable from the flow switch to the control pack is not pinched or rubbed through. Reseat the connector on the control board.
  • Basic test: With power off, disconnect the flow switch from the control board. Restore power briefly. If the FLC code changes to FLO or another flow-related code, the switch is likely stuck closed and should be replaced.
  • Replace flow switch if needed: Drain water below the level of the flow switch. Unscrew or cut out the old switch assembly and install a compatible Dynasty Spas flow switch in the same orientation (arrow in direction of flow). Reconnect wiring, refill, bleed air, and test.
