Possible Causes
Dirty or clogged filter cartridge, Low water level in spa, Air lock in circulation line, Failed or stuck flow switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power to the spa at the GFCI breaker before opening any panels or touching internal components.
- Check water level: Ensure the water level is above all skimmer openings and filter intakes. Top off if needed.
- Clean or remove filter: Remove the filter cartridge used in your Dynasty Spas skimmer/weir housing. Rinse thoroughly with a garden hose from top to bottom. For testing, run the spa briefly with the filter removed (never long-term) to see if the FLO code clears.
- Bleed air from lines: If the spa was recently drained/refilled, loosen the union on the circulation pump or main jet pump slightly to let trapped air escape until water seeps out, then retighten.
- Inspect flow switch: Locate the flow switch in the heater plumbing (usually a tee with two wires). Check that the wires are firmly connected and that there are no kinks in the hoses. If the FLO code persists with clean filters and proper water level, the flow switch may be stuck or failed and should be replaced.
- Restore power and test: Turn the breaker back on, run the pump on low speed, and verify that the FLO message clears and the heater icon appears.
