Possible Causes
Open or shorted high-limit sensor, Loose high-limit sensor connection, Damaged sensor cable or probe
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Shut off power at the breaker before working on sensors or the control pack.
- Locate high-limit sensor: On most Dynasty Spas, the high-limit sensor is mounted on or in the heater tube, separate from the main temperature sensor.
- Inspect cable and connector: Follow the sensor cable to the control board. Ensure it is not pinched and that the plug is fully seated.
- Check mounting: Confirm the sensor is firmly attached to the heater tube or fully inserted into its well so it can accurately sense temperature.
- Replace sensor: If Sn2 remains after reseating, replace the high-limit sensor with a Dynasty-compatible part. Power down, remove the old sensor, install the new one, reconnect, and test.
