Main jet pump hums but does not start; no water movement from jets.

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before touching the pump or motor.

• Listen for hum: Restore power briefly and try to start the pump. A loud hum with no rotation suggests a start issue.
• Check for obstructions: With power off, remove the pump wet end cover if accessible and inspect the impeller for debris. Ensure it spins freely by hand.
• Inspect capacitor: Many Dynasty jet pumps have an external start capacitor under a metal or plastic cover on the motor. Look for bulging or leaking. Replace with the same µF rating if defective.
• Replace pump if seized: If the shaft will not turn or bearings are noisy, replace the complete jet pump assembly with a compatible Dynasty Spas pump.
