Possible Causes
Air lock in heater, Closed slice valves around pump or heater, Severely clogged filter, Failed circulation pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power immediately to prevent heater damage.
- Verify valves: Check that all Everlast Spas gate/slice valves around the pump and heater are fully open. Locked or partially closed valves can starve the heater of water.
- Bleed air: Loosen the unions on the pump and heater slightly to release trapped air until a steady stream of water appears, then retighten.
- Clean/replace filter: Remove the filter cartridge and run the spa briefly without it. If the dr code clears, replace the filter with a new Everlast-compatible cartridge.
- Check circulation pump: Confirm that the circulation pump is running and that you can feel water returning to the spa. If the pump is not moving water, it may need to be replaced.
- Inspect heater: If the spa has run dry or with severe air lock, the Everlast heater element may be damaged. Visually inspect for bulging or burn marks and replace the heater assembly if necessary.
