Possible Causes
Repeated dry-fire condition, Severely restricted flow, Heater element damage, Control pack safety lockout
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure power is OFF before working on plumbing or heater.
- Resolve underlying dr cause: Follow the steps for the dr code (open valves, bleed air, clean filter, verify pump operation).
- Inspect heater element: Remove the Everlast heater assembly cover (if accessible) and inspect the element for burn-through or deformation. Replace the heater if damaged.
- Reset system: After correcting flow and heater issues, turn power off for at least 30 seconds, then restore power to clear the dY lockout.
- Monitor operation: Observe the spa through a full heating cycle to ensure the dY code does not return. If it does, the control pack may be overly sensitive or faulty and require replacement.
