Possible Causes
Stuck or shorted flow switch, Miswired flow switch leads, Control board input fault, Debris lodged in flow switch paddle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Shut off power at the breaker before working inside the equipment bay.
- Visual inspection: Locate the flow switch on the heater plumbing of your Everlast Spa. Inspect for cracked housing, corrosion on terminals, or pinched wires.
- Check wiring: Confirm the flow switch wires are connected to the correct terminals on the Everlast Spas control pack and are not shorted together. Repair any damaged insulation.
- Tap to free paddle: With power OFF, gently tap the body of the flow switch with the handle of a screwdriver to free a stuck paddle or plunger. Do not strike hard enough to crack the housing.
- Continuity test: Disconnect the flow switch leads and use a multimeter to check continuity. With no flow (pump off), the switch should be open. If it reads closed all the time, the switch is defective and should be replaced with a compatible Everlast Spas flow switch.
- Control board check: If a known-good flow switch still reads FLC, the flow input circuit on the Everlast Spas control board may be faulty and require professional diagnosis or board replacement.
