Possible Causes
Moisture in equipment bay, Shorted heater element, Shorted pump motor, Damaged wiring insulation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping GFCI without finding the cause. Risk of electric shock.
- Visual inspection: With power OFF, remove the Everlast spa side panel and inspect for standing water, leaks, or obvious burn marks on components.
- Dry moisture: If condensation or minor water intrusion is present, dry the area thoroughly and correct any leaks from unions or pump seals.
- Isolate components: A qualified technician can disconnect the heater, then pumps, then ozonator/UV one at a time to identify which component causes the GFCI to trip when re-energized.
- Replace failed part: Common culprits are the Everlast heater element and jet pump motors. Replace any component that shows ground fault when tested with a megohmmeter.
