Possible Causes

Blocked water flow through heater, Failed or weak circulation pump, High-limit sensor failure, Air lock in heater manifold

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and allow the spa to cool for at least 30 minutes before servicing.

  • Check for flow restrictions: Remove and clean the Everlast Spas filter cartridge. Ensure all jets and diverter valves are open to allow full flow.
  • Bleed air from heater: After a drain/refill, air can be trapped in the heater. Loosen the unions on the heater manifold slightly until water seeps out, then retighten. Restore power and test.
  • Inspect circulation pump: Verify that the Everlast Spas circulation pump runs continuously when the spa is in heating mode. If it is noisy, hot to the touch, or not running, it may need replacement.
  • Reset high limit (if manual): Some Everlast control packs have a manual high-limit reset button on the heater tube. With power OFF and water cooled, press the red reset button until it clicks. Restore power and monitor.
  • Sensor test: If HL returns quickly with good flow, the high-limit sensor (mounted on or in the heater tube) may be faulty. Replace with an Everlast-compatible high-limit sensor or complete heater assembly as required.
