Possible Causes
Shorted Pump 2 motor windings, Debris jammed in Pump 2 wet end, Loose or burnt wiring, Defective Pump 2 relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Shut off power and lock out the breaker before servicing Pump 2.
- Inspect wet end: Remove the Pump 2 union fittings and check the impeller area for stones, plastic, or other debris. Clear any obstruction.
- Check for leaks: Look for water leaking from the Pump 2 shaft seal, which can lead to motor failure.
- Test motor: A technician can perform resistance and insulation tests on the Pump 2 motor. Replace the Everlast Pump 2 assembly if windings are shorted.
- Control board check: If the motor tests good but P2 persists, the Pump 2 relay or triac on the control board may be defective and require board replacement.
