Possible Causes

Air lock in heater plumbing, Very low water level, Severely clogged filter, Circulation pump not primed or failed

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before loosening any unions or opening the equipment bay.

  • Check water level: Ensure the spa is filled to the recommended level. Top off if necessary.
  • Clean or remove filter: Remove the Evolution Spas filter cartridge and rinse thoroughly. Test briefly without the filter to see if the error clears.
  • Bleed air from pump and heater: Loosen the unions at the pump and heater slightly until air escapes and water begins to seep, then retighten.
  • Prime pump: With power restored, run the pump on low speed and observe for strong flow at the jets and heater return.

If the dr error persists, do not continue to run the spa, as a dry heater can be damaged quickly. The circulation pump or heater may require replacement by a professional.
