Control panel displays FLO or FL, jets may not run, heater will not turn on, and the spa may shut down after a short period.

Safety first: Turn off power to the spa at the GFCI breaker before opening any equipment compartment or removing filters. Never run the spa without adequate water level.

• Check water level: Ensure the water level is above all suction fittings and at least halfway up the skimmer opening. Top off if low.
• Clean or remove filter: Remove the Evolution Spas filter cartridge from the skimmer or filter canister. Rinse thoroughly with a garden hose from top to bottom. For testing, run the spa briefly without the filter (basket in place) to see if the FLO code clears. If it does, replace the filter cartridge.
• Bleed air from lines: With power OFF, loosen the union on the circulation pump (often labeled as the 24‑hr or circ pump) just enough to let trapped air escape until water dribbles out, then retighten. Restore power and check if FLO clears.
• Verify valves are open: In the equipment bay, confirm all slice or ball valves on the suction and return lines to the circulation pump and heater are fully open.
• Test circulation pump: With the cabinet open and power ON, listen and feel for vibration at the circulation pump. If it hums but does not move water (no visible movement in the spa or at heater return), the pump may be seized or failing and should be replaced.

If the FLO code persists after filter cleaning, air bleeding, and valve checks, the circulation pump or flow/pressure switch may need replacement. Contact a qualified spa technician if you are not comfortable working around live electrical components.
