Possible Causes
Water intrusion in pump or heater, Damaged heater element insulation, Faulty ozonator, Wiring fault in control pack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping GFCI without finding the cause. A ground fault can be dangerous.
- Visual inspection: With power OFF, inspect pumps, heater, and ozonator for signs of water leaks or corrosion.
- Isolate components (qualified only): A technician can disconnect suspected components (ozonator, pumps, heater) one at a time and test to see when the GFCI stops tripping.
- Dry moisture: If water is found inside the control pack, dry thoroughly and correct the leak source.
Because GFCI issues involve shock hazards, contact a licensed electrician or spa technician for diagnosis and repair.
