Possible Causes

Aging temperature sensor, Poor sensor placement in heater well, Control algorithm tolerance, High ambient temperature under cabinet

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off power at the GFCI breaker before accessing sensors.

  • Verify with external thermometer: Compare displayed temperature to an accurate thermometer in the spa water.
  • Adjust setpoint: If the spa consistently runs 2–3°F hot, lower the set temperature accordingly.
  • Inspect sensor: Ensure the sensor is fully seated in the heater well and making good contact.

If overshoot is large or increasing over time, replace the water temperature sensor with an Evolution Spas-compatible part.
