Possible Causes
Pump 2 motor overload, Loose pump 2 wiring at control board, Incorrect voltage configuration, Failed pump 2 relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Shut off power at the breaker before opening the equipment bay.
- 1. Verify model: Confirm your Freeflow model actually has a second pump; some panels are shared across models.
- 2. Check wiring: Inspect the pump 2 wires at the control board and at the pump for loose or burned connections.
- 3. Confirm voltage tap: Ensure the pump is wired for the correct voltage (120V or 240V) as per the spa's configuration label.
- 4. Test operation: Restore power and try activating pump 2. If it trips the breaker or shows P2 again, the motor or relay may be faulty.
Due to high voltage, have a spa technician test pump 2 current draw and replace components as needed.
