Possible Causes
Loose pump mounting, Misaligned plumbing, Cavitation from low water level, Worn pump bearings
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before adjusting pump or plumbing.
- 1. Check water level: Ensure water is at the proper fill line; low water can cause cavitation and vibration.
- 2. Tighten mounts: Verify that all pump mounting bolts are snug and that rubber isolation pads are intact.
- 3. Support plumbing: Add clamps or supports to long runs of PVC that may be amplifying vibration.
If vibration persists and is accompanied by noise, the pump bearings may be failing and the pump should be replaced.
