Possible Causes

High levels of body oils and soaps, Low calcium hardness, Use of non-spa-approved cleaners, Old water with high TDS

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Foaming is usually not dangerous but indicates poor water quality.

  • 1. Skim foam: Use a skimmer net to remove foam from the surface.
  • 2. Add defoamer: Use a spa-approved defoamer product sparingly to reduce foam temporarily.
  • 3. Balance calcium: If hardness is low, add calcium increaser to reach manufacturer-recommended levels.
  • 4. Plan water change: If the water is older than 3–4 months or heavily used, drain and refill the Freeflow spa.

Rinse swimsuits without detergent and shower before use to reduce future foaming.
