Critical safety: Turn off power immediately at the breaker. Do not attempt to run the spa until the cause is found.

• Inspect water level and leaks: Ensure the spa is full and check for major leaks that could have drained water from the equipment bay.
• Check suction and return: Verify that suction covers are not blocked and that there is no closed valve isolating the heater.
• Inspect heater tube: Look for discoloration or warping of the stainless heater tube, which indicates overheating and possible damage.

If the heater has been dry-fired, it is often necessary to replace the heater assembly. Have a Hanscraft technician evaluate the heater and circulation system before restarting.
