Possible Causes

Failed high-limit thermistor, Loose sensor in heater well, Damaged sensor cable, Corroded connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing the heater area.

  • Locate Sn2 sensor: Typically mounted on or near the heater tube as a separate probe from the main temperature sensor.
  • Check mounting: Ensure the sensor is firmly clamped or inserted into its well and not hanging loose.
  • Inspect wiring: Look for damage or corrosion along the cable and at the control board connector. Clean and reseat as needed.

If Sn2 remains after reseating and inspection, replace the high-limit sensor with the correct Hanscraft part.
