Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Critical safety: Do not repeatedly reset a tripping GFCI. There is a risk of electric shock.
- Visual inspection: With power OFF, inspect the equipment bay for obvious water leaks onto electrical components.
- Isolate components: Disconnect heater, then pumps, then other accessories one at a time from the Hanscraft control board. After each disconnection, restore power and see if the GFCI holds. The last component reconnected before tripping is likely the fault.
Once the faulty component is identified (often heater or pump), replace it. If no single component isolates the fault, wiring or the control board may be compromised and require professional service.
