Spa heats very slowly or cannot reach set temperature, especially in cold weather.

Safety: Ensure safe footing around the spa; surfaces may be wet.

• Check cover condition: Inspect the Hanscraft spa cover for waterlogging, tears, or gaps. Replace if heavy or damaged, as heat loss will be significant.
• Verify filtration/heating mode: Ensure the spa is in Standard mode (if available) so it can heat outside of filter cycles.
• Inspect circulation: Confirm that the circulation pump runs as programmed and that there is steady flow through the heater.
• Descale heater (if needed): If you have hard water and see scale on fittings, have a technician inspect and descale or replace the heater.

Improving insulation and cover quality often significantly improves heating performance.
