Possible Causes
Failed jet pump motor, Tripped pump thermal overload, Stuck or failed pump relay on IQ board, Loose pump wiring or connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the GFCI before touching the pump or wiring.
- Listen for pump response: With power on, press the jet button and listen for humming. A hum without water movement suggests a seized pump or bad capacitor.
- Check for tripped overload: Some pumps have a manual reset on the motor body. Allow the pump to cool and press the reset if present.
- Inspect wiring: With power OFF, verify that the jet pump wires are firmly connected at both the pump and IQ control board.
If the pump receives power but does not run, replace the jet pump assembly or have a technician test the motor and capacitor.
