Possible Causes
Cracked heater manifold, Loose pump union, Failed pump shaft seal, Split vinyl hose or barbed fitting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and, if leak is significant, drain the spa below the level of the leak.
- Identify leak source: Dry the area and use a flashlight to watch for new drips around the No-Fault heater, jet pumps, and plumbing unions.
- Tighten unions: Hand-tighten any loose unions on pumps or heater. Do not overtighten to the point of cracking.
- Replace seals or fittings: If a pump shaft seal is leaking, replace the pump or have it rebuilt. Replace any cracked manifolds or hoses with compatible Hot Spring plumbing parts.
Large or hidden leaks inside the foam insulation often require professional leak detection and repair.
