Possible Causes

Air lock in heater plumbing, Very low water level, Blocked suction or closed valves, Failed circulation pump on Hydropool spa

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Running the heater without water can permanently damage it. Turn off power immediately if DRY is displayed.

  • Check water level: Ensure the spa is filled to the proper level above all jets and skimmers.
  • Open all valves: Verify that all slice valves around the pump and heater are fully open and locked.
  • Bleed air from heater: With power OFF, loosen the heater unions slightly to allow trapped air to escape until water seeps out, then retighten.
  • Prime circulation pump: If the pump is air-locked, loosen the pump union or remove the pump discharge hose briefly to release air, then reassemble.
  • Restore power and test: After confirming full water and no air, turn power ON and observe for normal flow and heating. If DRY returns, the flow sensor or heater may be damaged and require professional service.
