Hydropool
Reduced Jet Flow / Hydraulic Restriction
Jets are weak or have very little pressure even when pumps are on high speed.

Possible Causes
Dirty or clogged filter cartridge, Air lock in Hydropool jet pump, Partially closed diverter or slice valves, Debris in pump impeller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before removing filters or opening pump unions.
- Clean or remove filter: Take out the filter and rinse thoroughly. Test jet strength with the filter removed; if flow improves, replace the filter.
- Check valves and diverters: Ensure all slice valves are fully open and that diverter valves on the spa shell are set to direct flow to the desired seats.
- Bleed air from pump: Loosen the union on the pump discharge slightly to release trapped air until water seeps out, then retighten.
- Inspect jets: Remove individual jet inserts and check for debris or scale buildup. Clean and reinstall.
- Impeller inspection (advanced): If flow remains weak, a technician may need to open the pump wet end to inspect and clean the impeller.
