Possible Causes
Cracked PVC plumbing or unions, Leaking pump shaft seal on Hydropool jet pump, Dripping heater union, Leaking jet body gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before working near water and electrical components.
- Locate the leak: Remove cabinet panels and use a flashlight to trace wet areas back to their highest point. Check around pumps, heater, and manifolds.
- Check unions and fittings: Gently tighten pump and heater unions by hand. Do not overtighten, as this can crack fittings.
- Inspect pump seals: If water is dripping from under the pump motor where it meets the wet end, the shaft seal is likely leaking and the pump wet end or seal kit must be replaced.
- Jet body leaks: Look for water around the back of jet bodies. Leaking gaskets may require draining the spa below the jet level and resealing or replacing the jet body.
- Dry and monitor: After repairs, dry the area and monitor for new leaks over several days of use.
