Possible Causes

Heater tube overheated due to low flow, Thermal cutoff switch tripped, Scale buildup inside heater tube, Faulty heater relay or control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the spa and heater pump unit to cool completely before attempting any checks.

  • 1. Let the unit cool:
    • Leave the spa off for at least 1–2 hours to ensure internal components cool down.
  • 2. Check water flow:
    • Clean or replace the filter cartridge.
    • Verify that all inlet/outlet fittings are clear and hoses are not kinked.
  • 3. Restart the spa:
    • Plug in, reset the RCD/GFCI, and turn on filtration first.
    • After a few minutes of circulation, enable heating and monitor for E95.
  • If E95 returns: The internal thermal cutoff or heater assembly may be damaged. This typically requires replacement of the heater pump unit or heater assembly by a professional.
