How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the spa and do not attempt to bypass any safety devices.
- 1. Check power source:
- Ensure the spa is plugged directly into a properly grounded outlet (no extension cords).
- Avoid sharing the circuit with high-load devices (heaters, AC units).
- 2. Inspect RCD/GFCI plug:
- Press the TEST button, then RESET as per the instructions.
- If the plug will not reset, discontinue use and have the outlet and plug inspected.
- 3. Dry the unit:
- If the heater pump unit has been exposed to heavy rain or flooding, move it to a dry area and allow 24 hours to dry before reconnecting.
- If E96 persists: The main control PCB is likely damaged. Replacement of the heater pump unit is usually required; contact Intex or a qualified technician.
