How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the spa immediately and do not attempt to operate it until the fault is identified.

  • 1. Power reset:
    • Leave the spa unplugged for at least 30 minutes.
    • Reconnect and reset the RCD/GFCI, then attempt to start.
  • 2. Check for obvious damage:
    • Inspect the heater pump unit exterior for burn marks, melted plastic, or strong electrical smell.
    • If any are present, do not use the spa.
  • 3. Environmental check:
    • Ensure the unit has not been submerged or heavily flooded.
  • If E99 remains: The control system is likely irreparably damaged. Replacement of the heater pump unit is usually the only remedy; contact Intex support.
