  • Always keep the Intex insulated cover on while heating.
• 2. Improve insulation:
  • Place a ground mat or foam under the spa if not already used.
  • Shield the spa from wind with barriers.
• 3. Check for scale:
  • If you have hard water and the spa is older, internal scale may reduce heater efficiency. Use a scale remover product approved for spas and follow instructions.
• If performance remains poor: The heater element may be partially scaled or failing; professional inspection of the heater pump unit is advised.
